A collaborative initiative

The materials were developed with participation from RUPASS, INDEMIR and the Swiss Academy for Development. An archival report notes Igor Leonov’s financial participation on the Russian side.

Presentation and access

Kazinform reported the film’s presentation in Bishkek on December 10, 2009, identifying Leonov as magazine director and an expert of the State Duma CIS committee. It reported 10,000 DVDs and subtitles in Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Tajik and Ukrainian.

Civic purpose

The initiative made practical legal information more accessible to people leaving for work. It links early civic activity with the present interest in the quality of multilingual public communication.
